Infertility can be heartbreaking. It is a very common problem that affects about 8% of women. Generally, infertility is described as the inability to get pregnant after one year of trying. Primary infertility means that you have never been pregnant before and are having difficulty getting pregnant. Secondary infertility suggests that you have successfully achieved pregnancy before but are now unable to do so. There are five basic factors that contribute to infertility, but unfortunately, 30% of the time no specific cause can be found.
